Just finished reading both Invisable Scars and 2190 The Heartland by John Moffatt Smith. Both books were an amazing story told by someone that lived through the world the books portrayed, Invisable Scars would make a wonderful movie.

Invisiable scars best read i have read in many years.Emotional heart felt story to think i was in school with this man and never knew half his life.Well done John for having the courage to put it all on paper. I am so proud to call you my friend. The latest read 2190 Heartland funny memories came flooding back couldnt put the book down. Thank you so much John.Both your books have taken me back to my childhood good & bad. These are 2 of the best books I have read & 2190 The Heartland will be a treasure to pass on as my daughters who also went to schools there.

My mum loved 2190 The Heartland. Read it in a day, mind you she didn’t move till she finished it, at 92 years young and living in Greenacre for years she was wanting to read more so she stole my Invisible Scars, guess I’ll have to wait till I have the chance to read them both, and I’m looking forward to getting them back.

Mum loves the 2190 Heartland, she sat and told me to go home so she could read it, even turned her beloved cricket off to read , now that’s special for my mum to do that.

Reading Invisible Scars at the moment. This needs to be made into a movie!
I personally don’t know but know some people who might. I’ll ask them. I think it’s a better book than Lion and that did pretty well as a movie.

I found it very sad and also very happy, what an absolute Legend Smithy is to even try and write a book about growing up in that environment and then ending up in the best place to grow up, I take my hat off to you for writing the best book ever.

Well done, I could not put the book down till I finished it, you have brought back so many memories, some of which I had forgotten till I reread it lol geez we crammed so much into our childhood didn’t we!

I’m reading Invisible Scars , OMG, that’s all I can say you are such a strong person, I just wanted to cry when I was reading the first couple of chapters, I wanted to stop reading as I found myself becoming quite emotional but wanted to keep reading as I thought if you could write it after living through then I can continue reading…… I admire you so much for what you have gone through & the person you are today.

I have just finished reading the Heartland OMG fabulous I thoroughly loved it. Thank you just doesn’t seem enough for what you did in writing it… you are a born storyteller.
I will definitely read it again maybe a bit slower this time and savour it all over again.
